Description
So here it is. MY FINAL PROJECT for the fundamentals course on my school. This is what I spent the last 5 weeks on. A 1 minute long 3D animation.
Unfortunately you can't upload more than 100mb to youtube at a time, so I had to cut it up into three parts. It totally kills the mood, but atleast this will give you an impression of how much work I put into it.
The poem is from H.P. Lovecraft's poem collection Fungi From Yuggoth.
(Turn down your lights when you watch it. The film is very dark).

This is an awesome job on the animation. The visual narrative is really well put together - the mood, the lighting, the tone - it all goes well with the poem. Who does the voice over? Even the narrater's voice and way of speaking matches well with the mood, I think.
It was a funny coincidence with hearing about H.P Lovecraft; not long before you submitted this I was reading an Anne Rice novel called "Tale of the Body Thief" and they had kept mentioning H.P Lovecraft in the novel, and I had never heard of the author before, so I assumed the name was made up until I saw this deviation and you mentioned Lovecraft, too. I had to go back to the Anne Rice book and find Lovecraft's name and make sure that I was seeing H.P. Lovecraft's name in two completely different places.
Anyway...just thought I'd share that.
Now, I've been completely interested in checking out an H.P. Lovecraft work. Oh yeah, this is Maryfaith, by the way. Got sick of my old username but still wanted to be able to check out and comment on people's work.
